From Eagle to Stafford

I previously posted about the Eagle Shirtmaker shirts.  The Eagle shirts are very nice dress shirts but I've found one problem with them.  The spread collar does not work well without a tie and I usually don't wear ties to work.  When I wear a dress shirt to work, I usually have the neck unbuttoned and I've found out that this makes for a sloppy look with spread collar shirts.

Since I'm wearing a more casual look to work, I've noticed that the button down collars work best with this style.  I went to go find some Eagle shirts that have button down collars but the price tag for these just doesn't justify the expense.  However, I did find that the Stafford brand from JC Penny works well for me and they have reasonably priced button down collared shirts.

Instead of paying upwards of $50 for an Eagle dress shirt, I can buy a Stafford brand in the $15 to $30 price range without sacrificing too much in quality.  I'll still keep the Eagle shirts that I like so much but these will only come out when I'm wearing a tie or suit.
